Summer is here ! With springy and warm air and ice cream, I am on my full summer spirit !
For style, I never thought much about it since my summer outfit is almost the same with rainy days outfit (all about t-shirts and forget to bring coat or umbrella).But, for girls it is senseless if you don't try to do something special for this season.
I know this sounds a little bit old style but color blocking (which is very popular in 2007 or 2008) is fun to try and if you're bored or afraid that you will be the granny of style among your friends, why don't you clash it with floral prints or animal prints ? Sounds simple, right ? But, trust me color or pattern blocking is hard !
You have to get a pair of eyes with good sense of colors.
And, color blocking is all about different and clashing colors. For example : red and purple, yellow and pink, purple and black, green and lime, etc.Which can turned out to be a circus parade if you did it wrongly or too much. And, the boundary between too much and stylish is as thin as my A4 paper.
When I want to do color blocking, I usually visualize what I want to make and what piece will be the stand out and showstopper because if you do too much stand out pieces it can turned out to be a confusing look. My best piece so far is animal pattern in smale scale like shoes or bags because they're easy and stylish. They looked original too.
Then, you can try with dark colors and dark colors or dark colors with slightly brighter colors or, if you are really new, go check the color spectrum circle. It helps a lot.
After you got the pieces and colors, do the basic pieces ! T-shirts or shirts are the best but you can wear mini dress or something like jumpsuit. I,personally, think that this is better than complicated gowns which can make your look become a goddamn mess. Unless, you are Rachel Zoe don't try to do something like that. Play safe is the best for rookie.
Well, this is fashion and you after all. Don't be afraid and do what you want to do or wear !
